A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent email addresses under the exact same domain name. For example, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can get emails from friends or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Configuring a catch-all mailbox will be extremely easy if you have a cloud package with our company. You can enable the feature through our powerful, albeit easy-to-use Email Manager tool, which is an indivisible part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will manage your shared hosting account. You will find all the mailboxes that you’ve created displayed alphabetically and next to each one there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously let you know whether a certain mailbox gets all the messages for a given domain name or not. With a single click on the icon you can enable or disable the feature whenever you like. In case there’s active email forwarding or if a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you’ll receive an alert from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically and without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all feature can be enabled without any difficulty if you have a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you have created using the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be displayed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will notice a tiny icon conveniently situated right next to each one. With just a click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with this option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and enable the feature through the menu that will pop up. If any of the preconditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will let you know, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
